Why Tabuney Exists
Tabuney means "a journey on the table." Every tabletop game is a journey beyond time and place. Many people love playing tabletop games, but not everyone enjoys reading and organizing the rules. Learning how to play should not stand in the way of discovering a great game. "Max the Playtime" is where we begin: helping you understand the game faster, dive into its world, and leave more time at the table for interaction, laughter, and surprises.
What We Build
Tabuney offers a range of tools designed to help players understand how tabletop games work. Rulesbot answers gameplay questions based on the game rules. Flowcharts organize setup, turn actions, situational rulings, end-game triggers, and win conditions into clear visual paths. Guide Scripts help hosts explain the rules to new players in a structured and engaging way. We also bring together tabletop game news and articles from various sources, helping players stay up to date with the latest developments across the hobby.

Whether you are spending time with family, meeting up with friends, discovering a game for the first time, or returning to one you have not played for a while, Tabuney can help. It is also designed for hosts teaching the rules, communities organizing activities, tabletop game shops serving customers, and educators using games to support learning. By reducing the barrier created by complex rules, Tabuney leaves more time for the experience of playing together.
The Games We Cover
At this stage, Tabuney focuses mainly on family and party tabletop games, particularly those that encourage interaction, suit social gatherings, and can be completed within a reasonable amount of time. We believe the most valuable part of tabletop gaming is the opportunity to step away from screens and gather around the same table to communicate, cooperate, compete, and share laughter. That is why we prioritise games that bring people together.
Where We’re Going
Tabuney is an independent project that continues to grow. We will keep adding tabletop games worth sharing, improving the quality of Rulesbot, flowcharts, Guide Scripts, and multilingual content, and exploring collaborations with game creators, educators, communities, and other like-minded partners. Our aim is to help more people begin their own journey on the table.
