Some minor computer gaming notes

I saw that Shapez 2 and Monster Train 2 dropped recently …. so I went back and played a bit of the first version of both games.

Shapez — Nope. I mean, in theory its probably more interesting than beltex, but both are in the “I’ll play this for a few minutes or an hour.” In fact, I haven’t yet done a full hour of the same game of Shapez, but I’ve probably done 3+ on Beltex (see my notes).

Monster Train (my prior thoughts) — I suspect I stopped playing it because one of my computer bricked and I never bothered to load it onto my newer computer. (My save game of Hades suffered the same fate). The good news is that Monster Train saved my progress in the cloud, so I spent a good chunk of the last weekend playing it. There was an expansion for Monster Train 1, but even the ignoring that, the base game got an update after I stopped where each of the five factions has two different sub-factions (each with their own champion and starting deck, but otherwise sharing cards).

I don’t know how much I spent before …. $10? $20? But I got 100 hours or so before and I’ve gotten a few more dozen now (and finally beat climbed the last few difficulty levels and beat the game at the hardest level) and …. I might keep playing it, at least until Slay the Spire II drops, supposedly this year.
