Jeremy’s Gaming Gratons: RAILROAD INK: BLAZING RED and COLDWATER CROWN
Board Game Gumbo is pleased to present another game night recap with Jeremy Dobler. This time, we have a two-fer! Jeremy looks at RAILROAD INK: BLAZING RED and COLDWATER CROWN!

Fun fact, RAILROAD INK is great and easy enough to play while having an adult beverage.

I managed to get just ahead AND while using none of the special track pieces, but we can chalk it up to a first time play for the wife.
She made sure to get me in the next game, COLDWATER CROWN. I never thought fishing would make a great game, but it does.

Coldwater Crown is a fairly simple worker placement, worker retrieval game, where you’re taking various colored gems (bait) off your tackle box to catch fish in the various zones. Then, after someone has caught their 12th fish, you submit one from each species in each zone, in hopes of having the largest catch weight, and taking the biggest trophy.
She definitely paid attention to The Sea, and got the extra 8 points there.

Just a little something to chew on — Jeremy

Jeremy loves games about nature, IP games involving turtles and batmen, and games appropriate to play with his young son, but expect lots of different games discussed here each time.
