Automation Games Sampler

I watched a video on upcoming automation games on steam which inspired me to try a few demos. I think the main take away is that right now I’m not interested in playing an automation game (like Factorio), but I tried a few demos before I discovered this …

• Modulus — A real shapez vibe, and I might buy this in the future.
• Craftlings — Probably the best idea, mixing the “crafting” genre with Lemmings (a computer game from around 1990). I loved Lemmings back in the day, but I don’t think this mashup works. But YMMV.
• Star Birds — A video game from Kurzgesagt (with their style of animation). I didn’t try it, and I’m told its somewhat simple (and early access) but I might come back to it.
• Sandustry — A 2D pixelated game that lets you blast/build everything. Did some of the demo, got a bit stuck, quit. Like the idea though.
