The Phantom of the Opera – Full Playthrough!

Geonil is a Korean designer who is perfecting the art of designing interesting takes on two-player only trick-taking games. Luckily for us, 25th Century Games has been bringing these games over to us trick-taking fans in their crowdfunding projects.

We only have two plays so far, but wow, The Phantom of the Opera might be Geonil’s best yet. It’s a thematic re-creation of the book-meets-musical where Christine must stop The Phantom from completing his greatest musical masterpiece. But instead of trying to win tricks — Christine and The Phantom must win OR lose tricks, depending on the requirements of the musical piece. And there’s some lagniappe — a super trump that only gets decided by the players each round.
